Ocularis-X

Get full-framerate video from multiple megapixel, HD and SD cameras over low-speed connections

Ocularis-X brings the true experience of desktop video surveillance to web-based video clients.

With the increasing popularity of bandwidth-intensive megapixel, HD and SD cameras, web users face the need to compromise either on the number of cameras viewed (often limited to a single camera), the quality of the video, or the smoothness of the video delivered—resulting in choppy, low-framerate live viewing and playback.

Overcoming these limitations, OnSSI’s Ocularis-X web server application delivers up to sixteen HD, megapixel and SD video streams, simultaneously, at each stream's original frame rate (30 fps) to web video clients*, over limited-bandwidth networks such as 3G/4G and broadband. Users are presented with much smoother video and are able to zoom into an image without losing detail, resulting in superior detection of incidents and identification of suspects.

Ocularis-X extends the look-and-feel of OnSSI’s award-winning Ocularis Client desktop interface to web browser-based operation. It allows security personnel in the field to perform live monitoring and synchronized playback of multiple megapixel, HD and SD cameras, all through a standard web-browser.

Ocularis-X will also allow VSaaS (Video Surveillance as a Service) providers to deliver high-speed, high-resolution, multi-camera video to their clients.

Ocularis-X is compatible with Ocularis versions 3.0 and up.
