Ocularis Client Lite

With ever-growing surveillance camera systems, the ability to retrieve significant information from volumes of video data, generated by hundreds and even thousands of cameras at multiple sites, has become imperative.

Ocularis Client Lite OnSSI's breakthrough video client for its entire line of Network Video Recorders. It provides the tools to efficiently and effectively monitor large camera arrays, access and investigate video of incidents, and export evidence, all through an intuitive, touchscreen-optimized (optional)user interface.

Ocularis Client Lite's interactive interface presents the user with all--and only--the functions relevant to the current camera, mode and action. Click or touch a camera pane, and its controls will appear within the pane, eliminating control panels and elaborate menus. With its highly intuitive, touchscreen-optimized interface and easy to use investigation tools, Ocularis Client Lite requires only minutes of training to full proficiency.

Ocularis Client Lite revolutionizes the way live video is monitored, with multiple tools for interaction and on-the-fly investigation. Users can play back video; control optical PTZ cameras using a physical joystick or a highly responsive virtual joystick, and even apply digital PTZ to any live camera view; all during live monitoring, and all while keeping an eye on the rest of the cameras. Multiple Interactive Video Carousels allow pausing, browsing through the carousel sequence, and by receiving automated or manual (peer-to-peer) Push-Live Video alerts, Push-Video Alert panes ensure the operator's constant access to incidents as they occur.

Ocularis Client Lite's multiple investigation tools allow even non-experienced users to access, review and export video of incidents, quickly and efficiently, saving the need to manually scan through volumes of video data.

• Scalable Kinetic Timeline

  Indicating zones of detected motion, the timeline can be scaled to any desired time interval and 'swiped' to quickly review multiple cameras over an extended period, providing an overview of the events before and after an incident.

• Motion Detection

  Ocularis Client Lite's motion detection utility allows for accurate configuration of the detection parameters to match the speed and size of the moving object, as well as the character of the motion and changing light conditions.

• Time Slicing

  Time interval thumbnails allow drilling down through time to identify the exact moment an event occurred. Archived searches are shortened from hours to seconds, even in high traffic areas where motion detection might not be able to detect events.

• Motion Slicing

  The motion slicing tool automatically generates thumbnails of motion detection events within a defined zone, filtered by motion sensitivity and selected interval

• Alerts and Sequences

  Access to alerts and entire event sequences, received from external physical security systems.

Once an incident is detected and accessed, it can be easily exported in multiple formats for distribution and continued handling. A simple graphical interface is used to set the start and end points for exporting within the Kinetic timeline. Evidence can then be produced as a multi-camera, encrypted video database; as a single camera portable AVI file, complete with a preamble containing all time and camera information as well as operator's comments; as a still frame set of the entire exported range, and as a single-from incident report.

OnSSI users will transition smoothly from its predecessor video client, NetGuard-EVS, to Ocularis Client Lite. Both clients can work concurrently on the same PC, making it easier for operators to make the transition. Ocularis Client Lite employs the same user authentication scheme as NetGuard EVS, so migration does not require any re-programing. What's more, the same camera View Sets configured for NetGuard-EVS can be used in Ocularis Client Lite, including all configured carousels, hotspots and Push-Video Alert panes.

Ocularis Client Lite provides the core features of Ocularis Client, the main video client for Ocularis, OnSSI's new intelligent IP video surveillance management platform. Ocularis Client adds a multitude of mission-critical capabilities, including:
