On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. (OnSSI), a fast-growing, Rockland County, NY based software development company, and a recognized leader in the field of IP-based video surveillance is seeking an Integration Developer to facilitate the company’s development team.
This is a great opportunity to develop in a dynamic, growing company that is a technological leader in its field.
This position will report directly to the R & D Manager.
Job Purpose:
Develop state of the art video surveillance system.
Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable, high performance, and distributed solutions.
- Work with development lead to follow the engineering direction.
- Develop Conceptual and logical solutions to technical issues.
- Document code consistently throughout the development process
- Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience C++/C# programming
- Solid understanding of object oriented coding practices
- BS/MS in Computer Science, or related field
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to analyze complex tasks and propose viable solutions for both strategic and tactical development initiatives
- Possess excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication
- Responsible for planning, processing and performing all jobs in an efficient manner with assistance from the supervisor
- An understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment
Desirable:
- Familiarity with different video formats such as MJPEG, or MPEG4
- Video Surveillance background
