Client Requirements/Application Solutions
Securing a physical environment, (municipal, education, or corporate) requires an integrated approach, pointed toward detection, analysis, delivery, and response. OnSSI’s intelligent IP video surveillance solutions provide the tools to effectively - and automatically - identify incidents, notify and inform corporate, school, municipal, and security personnel on and off site, and manage the response to a security breach or incident. Our open architecture, non proprietary video surveillance platform solutions enable seamless integration with powerful, mission-specific third party modules, controllable from OnSSI’s strategic video surveillance platform and video client interface. They enable efficient automation of event detection, analysis and management processes, thus extending the functionality of IP video surveillance. Network video offers scalability, flexibility, and accessibility – all of which ultimately results in increased, more effective security of client assets
Detection
OnSSI’s intelligent IP video surveillance software platform and camera management system provides the most powerful integrated surveillance solution. Video streams received from an unlimited number of cameras at different sites, as well as events generated by external physical security and IT systems, are recorded, archived, analyzed and automatically distributed to users, to ensure complete situational awareness and efficient event management. OnSSI’s intelligent IP video platforms allow seamless integration with external security and IT systems, including access control, contact closure switches, POS, loop detectors and others.
OnSSI supports practically every camera and encoder by all leading manufacturers, allows integrating megapixel, 360-degree and specialty camera technologies, as well as legacy analog equipment. Powerful investigation and evidence extraction tools –OnSSI’s software platforms and video clients, enable PTZ investigation into recorded images. Tamper-proof evidence can then be extracted, and exported on-the-fly.
Intelligent Analysis
Today’s video surveillance systems produce more content than ever before – due to technological advancements in IP and video compression, as well as increased awareness of the value of video surveillance. This has led to increasingly larger systems, often hundreds and thousands of cameras. In many cases the manned viewing and detection model has become impractical or cost-prohibitive.
These developments call for an entirely new set of tools that enable extracting critical information from vast amounts of live and recorded content. OnSSI’s suite of solutions enable intelligent detection of motion (directional, tailgating, entry into restricted zone) and non-motion (unattended object/stalled vehicle, missing object) for efficient monitoring of large camera arrays by few operators. By intelligently filtering events fewer people can monitor a far greater number of locations; greatly reducing operational costs while improving security.
Delivery
OnSSI's video platforms are geared to detect events and exceptions, and react upon events. Upon detection of movement, for example, text and/or audiable alerts can be sent to specific users. What's more, live video can be pushed automatically, on event, to any user on the network. OnSSI's platform integration with physical security and IT systems, such as access control, contact closure and POS, makes possible the investigation of employee or constituent access to a secured facility, at any time, by keying in the employee access code and the time frame to be monitored. OnSSI’s software platform can then instantly retrieve all video events associated with the employee code.
Wireless IP cameras can be used where network cable is not available or impractical. For example, if any unusual activity around a facility's perimeter is detected by the OnSSI platform, the appropriate security staff can be instantly notified by mobile phone, email or pager. They can then log on to the system and monitor the activity, as well as view live video on portable devices as they approach the area.
Once video is recorded, it can be archived locally and/or remotely for any period of time, as required by regulation or by necessity. Access to archived content is transparent to the user, requiring no more than a click on a camera icon. Video can then be investigated and analyzed, and if needed, exported either as a video file for reference, or as a tamper-evident video data file to be used as court evidence.
Response
In a crisis situation, in areas with no wired network, OnSSI’s intelligent IP video surveillance platform, utilizing continuous bandwidth optimization, operates seamlessly over Wi-Fi networks, enabling the rapid setup of a full-scale IP video surveillance system. Cameras can be positioned immediately, wherever needed. Using live video, police, fire-fighters, government and homeland security officials, and other responders, can communicate with each other rapidly during a crisis.
Upon arrival, responders, using a wireless handheld device, can take charge of the entire IP video surveillance system. Video can be sent simultaneously to the portable devices of key personnel on site or en route – to SWAT teams, paramedics, firefighters, local government and homeland security officials, bomb squads, hazardous materials teams and any other units.
