OnSSI Channel Partner Certification Training
Channel Partner Certification is offered two tracks: Ocularis DS and Ocularis ES Certification. Depending on the focus of your clientele you may be interested in one, the other, or both.
Ocularis DS Training – 2 days
Formerly titled CCP Level I, this certification provides our Channel Partners with the knowledge and skills to be able to install and support Ocularis Base and Ocularis Client with the NVR NetDVMS. Students obtain hands-on experience in configuring and managing: cameras, user accounts, video walls, and events in order to properly install and support these applications. More details.
Ocularis ES Training – 2 days
Formerly titled CCP Level II, this certification provides our Channel Partners with the knowledge and skills to be able to install and support Ocularis Base and Ocularis Client with our newest enterprise NVR NetEVS. Students obtain hands-on experience in configuring and managing: cameras, user accounts, video walls, and events in order to properly install and support these applications. More details.

Ocularis AS Training
This advanced level certification is required for those channel partners who wish to sell and support the Video Content Analyitcs and Video Synopsis components of our Ocularis product line. A prerequisite to this course is either Ocularis DS Training or Ocularis ES Training. Contact

Is Ocularis DS a prerequisite for Ocularis ES? No. The two courses are independent of each other. You may prefer to take Ocularis DS prior to Ocularis ES if you will be taking them both but one is not a prerequisite for the other. Unless specified otherwise, training at all locations begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 4:30 PM. We strongly recommend that participants flying in arrive the night before.
In order to provide the best possible training experience for our courses, we request that all students have the prerequisite knowledge in basic networking and IP Video concepts prior to training. This encompasses the following topics:

- PSNA Course I: Basic Network
- PSNA Course II: IP Video
The PSNA certification courses are the standard for understanding IP Networking in the context of the security industry. The second course in this series gives a full foundation for understanding networking in IP video including formats, NVR/DVR and camera system and design. Students of any OnSSI class will maximize their benefit of the training by having this knowledge under their belts.

Since the Certification Training includes hands-on experience with OnSSI’s software, the number of participants in each session is very limited. Because we generally reach capacity weeks before the training, we encourage you to register early to assure your participation.
- Participation is assured only once the listed contact person on the form receives a confirmation email.
- Certification is valid for 2 years from the date of the course.
Level I Certification training is available at $495.00 per person.
Level II Certification training is available at $495.00 per person.
Ocularis DS Certification training is available at $595.00 per person.
Ocularis ES Certification training is available at $595.00 per person.
- Registrations may be cancelled or modified within the first 24 hours at no charge.
- There is a $50 cancellation fee if registration is cancelled after the initial 24 hour grace period up until 2 days prior to the course start date.
- If the registration is cancelled within 2 days of the course start date, the full rate will be charged.
- Registrations using an invalid or blank Dealer Registration Number are subject to cancellation and a $50 cancellation fee.
- No refunds for no-shows.
Participants will make use of their own laptop PCs in the course of the training, for the purpose of installing and operating OnSSI products.
Please make sure your laptop computer has the following:
- Minimum requirements: Intel Core2, 2.0 GHz or higher with minimum 2 GB RAM.
- CD ROM Drive
- CAT5 network cable socket
- Microsoft XP Pro (32-bit), Vista Business (32-bit) or Vista Ultimate (32-bit). All updates (available from the Microsoft website) should be installed prior to the training. If using Vista, User Access Control (UAC) must be disabled.
- Microsoft .Net Framework v.3.0 installed (available here).
- Microsoft MSXML 6.0 installed (available here)
- MS PowerPoint
- We recommend using an external mouse.
- Graphics Adapter: 256 MB RAM, Direct 3D supported, such as NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS or NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M.
Participants are asked to bring their own IP cameras; shared cameras for hands-on labs will be provided.
Make sure that you have administrative rights for your machine, otherwise you may not be able to install the required software during the training.
At time of registration, the participant’s company must be registered as an OnSSI Channel Partner. For more information about OnSSI’s Channel Partner program, its benefits and how to apply is available on the Channel Partner Program page.
Participants must be full-time employees of the organization, with at least 3 full months of employment.
Ocularis DS Training
This certification provides our Channel Partners with the knowledge and skills to install and support Ocularis DS. Applications covered include: NetDVMS, Ocularis Base and Ocularis Client.
Course Topics Include:

- Using the OnSSI Hardware Calculator
- Software Installation
- Recording Server Configuration
- Configuring Cameras
- Working with PTZ cameras including patrolling and presets
- Viewing Live and Recorded Video with Ocularis Client
- Search and Export Recorded Video
- Managing the surveillance environment with Ocularis Base
- Configuring Video Walls
- Managing automated events
A multiple choice final exam must be completed in order to obtain certification.
Ocularis ES Training
This certification provides our Channel Partners with the knowledge and skills to install and support Ocularis DS. Applications covered include: NetEVS, Ocularis Base and Ocularis Client.
Course Topics Include:

- Software Installation
- Recording Server Configuration
- Detecting and Configuring Cameras, Microphones and Speakers
- Working with PTZ cameras including patrolling and presets
- Failover Server Configuration
- Creating Roles, Groups and Users
- Managing NetEVS Licenses
- Working with NetEVS Logs
- Viewing Live and Recorded Video with Ocularis Client
- Search and Export Recorded Video
- Managing the surveillance environment with Ocularis Base
- Configuring Video Walls
- Managing automated events
